May 1904 in Paris, France. The first World Cup football started in 1930 in Uruguay. FIFA is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland 

The Golden Boot and the Golden Ball were introduced in 1982 (12th World Cup)

The competition started in 1930 and has been held every four years till now. The first World Cup was played in Uruguay in 1930.

Uruguay is the champion country in the first World Cup held in 1930. Competitions were not held in 1942 and 1946 due to World War II. Brazil is the most successful team in the World Cup after winning the title five times,

Most  final playing teams. Italy and Germany are in second place after winning four titles.
