Another name for the modern Olympics is the Summer Olympics. Pierre de Coubertin is said to be the father of the modern Olympics. The Olympic Games are the largest and most prestigious sporting event in the world.

The origins of the Olympic Games in ancient Greece in the eighth century BC give rise to the idea of the modern Olympic Games. On June 23, 1984, Baron Pierre de Coubertin formed the IOC (International Olympic Committee). Under the supervision of this committee, the first meeting of the modern Olympic Games were held in Athens, Greece in 1896.

The symbol and flag of the Olympic Games have a total of 5 circles of blue, yellow, black, green, and red. These five circles indicate five continents. The largest number of Olympic Games is held in London.
