India


India is the largest country in South Asia and the seventh-largest country in the world in terms of geographical size. Its official name is the Republic of India.

India is a country with a population of over 1.38 Billion. This country is full of people from 29 provinces, 10 religions, and a myriad of languages and cultures. The historical Indus Valley Civilization developed in this region. Multiple empires of huge size were established here in different periods of history. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism originated in India. Besides, Judaism, Christianity and Islam entered India in the 1st millennium AD.





In the first half of the eighteenth century, the British East India Company gradually spread to India. India emerged as an independent state in 1947 through a long struggle for independence. India's total area is 32,87,263 square kilometers. With a population of 1.38 billion, it is the second-largest democracy in the world. 80.5% of the people in this country are Hindus. About 30 million people out of 138 million in India are still illiterate.

Although the capital of India is New Delhi, its largest city is Mumbai. The official language of this country is Hindi, the mother tongue of about 320 million people. About 125 million people use English as their second language. In this case, India's position is next to America's.

Most of the engineers in the IT sector companies around the world come from India. India ranks third after China and the United States in terms of troop numbers. India launches "Life Line Express" to deliver healthcare in remote areas of the country.

India has won all the 'Kabaddi World Cups' held so far. The game of Chess was born in India. Even the word Chase comes from the Sanskrit Chaturanga. The country produces the most full-length films every year, which puts it ahead in terms of entertainment.

The currency of India is Indian Rupee. The total GDP of this country is estimated to be 2.719 trillion US dollars in 2018. The combined wealth of India's 25 richest people stands at 174.8 billion, the equivalent of Ukraine's total GDP. The country has 275 billion tons of coal which will make it the second-largest coal user in the world in the next 20 years. India now tops the list with more than 160 million tonnes of milk a year.


The most learned person in India is Srikanth Jiskar. There are most vegetarians in this country. The first shampoo idea came from India. The word Shampoo comes from the Sanskrit word Champu (massaged). In 2011,  75 million pilgrims gathered at the 'Kamban' fair. The gathering was so large that it could be seen from the space station. The total length of roads in India is 4.8 million kilometers, which, if done in a straightforward manner, can rotate the whole world 117 times.
